Run the install command again
The installer replaces the extension's files with the newest version. If this computer also has a Commentware server that the installer installed, the same run updates it. Run the command for your computer in a terminal:
macOS and Linux
curl -fsSL https://commentware.com/install/extension.sh | shIt lands in ~/Commentware/bin. Run this command again to update the extension.
Windows
iwr -useb https://commentware.com/install/extension.ps1 | iexPowerShell 5.1, which is what Windows ships. It lands in %USERPROFILE%\Commentware\bin.
The installer asks for an invite code only when this computer has no valid code kept from an earlier run.
Finish in Chrome
When the installer has finished, it opens a page in Chrome, or prints the steps in the terminal, that finish the update: you reload Commentware on chrome://extensions. Until you reload it, Commentware does not work in a tab you open or refresh.
